COVID CANT STOP LOVE
The COVID-19 Pandemic will go down in history as one of the most devastating times in American history. Not only has it impacted the lives of families economically, it has impacted the health and wellness of many lives across the nation. The emotional, physical, and spiritual roller coaster we have been on since March is unprecedented. With all the lows and the uncertainties that have occurred and that are still occurring, the only thing we have is hope and faith. The hope that we will overcome and the faith that our future will be better than our past.
I know it may seem insensitive as a bride to feel as though your day being canceled is trivial. I know it may seem self-centered and inconsiderate to feel hurt, frustrated, and angry because you have to make new arrangements because of this pandemic because people are losing their life, homes, jobs, and families are being devastated across the country. I am here to tell you that it’s ok to feel all these things and then some but it’s not okay to allow this pandemic to dictate your actions or how you physically respond to what is taking place in this season. Your feelings matter, your finances matter, your time matters. You dedicated everything to making this day one to remember. It’s very important to know and understand that as much as all those things matter, how you handle this situation will matter the most.
I am a woman of faith and a firm believer that where there is a will there's a way. This is one of the many opportunities for you and your fiancé to show how you will handle adversity together. This will show how well the both of you are at turning lemons into lemonade. No you may not have a venue, no you may not be able to invite as many people as you expected, but what you do have is love, God, and each other. If spending your life with one another is the ultimate goal then don’t allow COVID-19 to stop you. You can say I do in the backyard, you can say I do at the beach, you can say I do inside your home, you can say I do at the park. All it takes is a little creativity, a great squad, and a plan and your dream day can still come true.
Remember COVID-19 can shut the world down but it can’t stop the love you share. So don’t be dismayed, don’t be discouraged, be hopeful and faithful that you were given another day to create new possibilities.
